BMC Helix CMDB Architect

Job Summary

To lead the design and implementation of a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) from the ground up, the remote contract BMC Helix CMDB Architect will collaborate with various teams to establish a scalable CMDB framework, define governance standards, and integrate data sources across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build a Helix CMDB, including class structures, CI relationships, and supporting data models
• Define and implement data normalization, reconciliation, and quality processes while overseeing integrations with various platforms
• Document architecture decisions and operational procedures, ensuring long-term sustainability and adoption of the CMDB platform

Required qualifications

• Recent hands-on experience implementing BMC Helix CMDB 22.x, 23.x, or newer
• Proven experience designing and building enterprise CMDB solutions from scratch
• Experience integrating multiple enterprise data sources through APIs, ETL processes, or native platform integrations
• Ability to define data ownership models and exception management workflows
• Strong documentation skills and experience in stakeholder communication
