BMC Helix CMDB Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced BMC Helix CMDB Engineer for a remote contract position, the candidate will lead the design and implementation of a Configuration Management Database (CMDB), collaborating with various teams to establish a scalable framework and ensure data quality and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build a Helix CMDB from scratch, including class structures and CI relationships
• Define and implement data normalization, reconciliation, and quality processes
• Create dashboards and reporting focused on CMDB health and data quality metrics

Required qualifications

• Recent hands-on experience implementing BMC Helix CMDB 22.x, 23.x, or newer
• Proven experience designing and building enterprise CMDB solutions from the ground up
• Strong understanding of Configuration Item (CI) modeling and relationship mapping
• Experience integrating multiple enterprise data sources through APIs or ETL processes
• Ability to define data ownership models and exception management workflows
