Book Cover Designer

Job Summary

Creative and adaptable, the Independent Contractor Book Cover Designer will work remotely to create visually appealing book cover designs for non-fiction topics, collaborating with a team and delivering projects on tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to brainstorming sessions and create design concepts that attract readers
• Revise designs based on client feedback while adhering to brand style guidelines
• Manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality designs within tight deadlines

Required qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in book cover design
• Experience designing book interior pages and various formats, including hardcover and ebooks
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Understanding of print production and pre-press artwork
• Familiarity with book design processes and production schedules
