Job Summary
To support a growing team, the part-time Bookkeeping Specialist will manage client bookkeeping functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting, while working remotely in the US or Canada.
Key responsibilities:
- Support client bookkeeping functions, ensuring timely completion of accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and payroll
- Create and interpret financial reports, including Balance Sheets and Profit and Loss statements, while ensuring compliance with month-end deadlines
- Assist in organizing and documenting processes, while maintaining effective communication with clients and team members
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of bookkeeping experience, with a focus on US and Canadian bookkeeping
- Experience with inventory management and multiple bookkeeping software platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
- Proficient in Google Workspace, Slack, and Asana or similar tools
- Two-year accounting degree preferred; relevant certifications such as QB Pro Certification are a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is advantageous
