Job Summary
To expand its books coverage, the remote contracted Books Feature Writer will create original recommendation and ranking lists, cover current book releases and news, and brainstorm content ideas while working with the Editorial Team.
Key responsibilities
- Write list and feature articles following the company's house style
- Cover current and upcoming book releases and relevant book news
- Brainstorm, pitch, and develop original content ideas
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, English Literature, or a related field/equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience writing about books or related topics in a credible publication
- Broad working knowledge of the book and publishing landscape as a generalist reader
- Reads across science fiction/fantasy and at least one other major genre
- Strong comfort with the list format and fast turnaround times
