Job Summary

A company is looking for a Braille Transcriber to operate in braille transcription and support research into tactile materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare error-free braille test materials according to specifications
• Collaborate with other transcribers and proofreaders to ensure accuracy
• Maintain project logs and provide status updates to program managers

Required Qualifications and Education

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Fluency in Spanish preferred
• Library of Congress/National Library Service Literary Braille Certification (within one year from hire)
• National Braille Association Braille Formats Certification (within three years from hire)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software packages
