Breaking News Reporter
Job Summary
A company is looking for a breaking news reporter to join their fast-moving news desk.
Key Responsibilities
- General-assignment daily news blogging (two to three stories per day)
- Write quick-turn stories involving reporting as assigned and breaking news coverage
- Co-host the flagship daily newsletter and provide incisive commentary on top national headlines
Required Qualifications
- Able to work at least 37.5 hours/week, including some weekends
- Minimum of two years of newsroom or editorial experience
- Seasoned writer with a track record of publishing multiple stories a day
- Excellent news judgment and a commitment to accuracy
- Familiarity with publishing workflows and editorial tools
