Bridge Detailer

Job Summary

Supporting large transformative transportation projects, the full-time remote Bridge Detailer will prepare detailed engineering drawings for bridge superstructures and substructures, ensuring adherence to CAD detailing requirements and accuracy in structural calculations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D engineering drawings for bridge components and accessories
• Develop precise reinforcing steel layouts and perform quantity calculations
• Review completed drawings against engineer's sketches to eliminate errors

Required qualifications

• 4 to 10+ years of related work experience
• Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation or Autodesk AutoCAD
• Ability to convert structural designs into accurate construction drawings
• Knowledge of reinforcing steel layout rules and concrete cover requirements
• Familiarity with state Department of Transportation CAD standards
