Bridge Drafter

Job Summary

Supporting transformative transportation projects, the full-time remote Bridge Drafter will develop CAD plans for bridge elements, update existing drawings, and compute material volumes while collaborating with engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Developing plans for bridge elements using CAD software, ensuring proper organization and legibility
• Updating existing drawing sets by incorporating redline corrections from engineers or senior detailers
• Computing material volumes and verifying dimensions on drafting assignments

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of related work experience or Associate's degree with 4+ years of related work experience
• Solid operational knowledge of 2D drafting tools, preferably Bentley MicroStation or Autodesk AutoCAD
• Ability to read and understand structural engineering sketches and plans
• Experience managing external references and navigating CAD workspaces
• Proficiency in applying text scaling, dimension styles, and callouts for various sheet sizes
