Budget Execution Analyst

Job Summary

Supporting NOAA, the remote Budget Execution Analyst will provide budget and financial management support, focusing on business process improvement, data analysis, and tools development using Google Sheets to enhance budget forecasting and obligation tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects related to financial analysis, acquisition tracking, and budget execution
• Analyze NOAA budget execution data to forecast potential funding issues and plan corrective actions
• Create and maintain spreadsheets and templates for various budget execution reports and meetings

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in finance, budgeting, accounting, or a related field
• 2 to 8 years of experience in federal budgeting or related industries, depending on the level of the position
• Proficiency in Google Sheets, including advanced functions like VLookup and conditional formatting
• Ability to transform accounting system data into user-friendly reports and presentations
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
