Budget Execution Analyst
Job Summary
Supporting the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the remote Budget Execution Analyst will manage budget planning and execution, analyze financial data, and create tools and reports to facilitate effective financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide budget execution support to the NOAA/NOS Financial Management Center
- Analyze data to identify trends and forecast budget issues, assisting in the creation of monthly and annual obligation plans
- Transform accounting system data into user-friendly spreadsheets and presentations for reporting purposes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in federal budgeting or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for education
- Ability to create concise spreadsheets and presentations from complex data
- Strong oral presentation skills for briefing findings to management
- Experience with government financial systems and terminology is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
