Budget Execution Analyst
Job Summary
Supporting the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the remote Budget Execution Analyst will provide budget planning and execution support, manage financial data, and assist in the preparation of reports and analyses to ensure effective financial management.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide budget execution support to the NOAA/NWS Financial Management Center
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, forecast budget issues, and recommend corrective actions
- Track NWS grants and contracts through planning, funding, and execution phases
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in federal budgeting or related fields; a Master's Degree may substitute for 2 years of experience
- Ability to transform data into user-friendly spreadsheets and presentations
- Experience with NOAA financial systems is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficiency in conducting variance analysis and summarizing quantitative data
