Budget Execution Analyst
Job Summary
Supporting NOAA in a remote capacity, the full-time Budget Execution Analyst will provide budget planning and execution support, analyze financial data, and assist in creating tools and reports for effective financial management.
Key responsibilities
- Provide budget execution support to the NOAA/NOS Financial Management Center
- Analyze data trends and forecast potential budget issues while tracking NOS grants through various financial processes
- Create and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and templates for monthly and quarterly financial assessments
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in federal budgeting or related fields; relevant experience may substitute for education
- Proficiency in transforming data into user-friendly spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with senior leaders
- Ability to conduct variance analysis and justify findings to management
- Experience with government financial systems and terminology is preferred
