Building Automation Specialist

Job Summary

Joining the Smart Building Solutions team, the full-time Building Automation Specialist will program and implement Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems for various projects, ensuring integration with building systems and collaborating with project teams to optimize energy management.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and configure DDC control strategies based on project specifications using industry-standard programming languages
• Integrate DDC systems with HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management systems for optimal performance
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and prepare documentation and reports on system functionality and project status

Required qualifications:

• Minimum of 3+ years' experience as a DDC Controls Programmer in the building automation industry
• Proficiency in programming software for DDC systems, such as Tridium Niagara or Siemens Talon
• Strong knowledge of building automation systems and familiarity with industry standards like BACnet or Modbus
• Experience with DDC programming tools and excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively
