Building Controls Engineering Lead

Job Summary

Providing technical leadership and oversight, the full-time remote Building Controls Engineering Lead will design, implement, and support advanced Building Automation Systems (BAS) while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with project stakeholders to ensure high-performance smart building solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of controls engineers and specialists to deliver scalable and compliant smart building systems
• Design and implement Tridium Niagara-based building controls solutions across complex facilities
• Serve as the primary technical authority and escalation point, ensuring project deliverables meet quality and compliance standards

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of senior-level experience in building automation systems engineering for commercial, institutional, or federal facilities
• Expertise with Tridium Niagara (N4) framework and compatible platforms such as Honeywell, Siemens, and Schneider
• Proven ability to design interoperable BAS architectures using protocols like BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks
• Strong commissioning and troubleshooting experience for large-scale BAS deployments
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field
