Business Analyst
Job Summary
Supporting a technology modernization initiative, the full-time remote Business Analyst will translate business needs into clear requirements for the Department of Veterans Affairs loan guaranty program, performing current-state analysis, stakeholder interviews, and capability assessments.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct current-state analysis and stakeholder interviews to inform technology modernization and legacy system decommissioning planning
- Develop user stories and actionable requirements while analyzing data flows and business rules across capabilities
- Maintain documentation for new feature development and modernization efforts, contributing to product design and specifications
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with 7 years of experience, or a high school diploma with 9 years of experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to shift focus between high-priority tasks and demonstrate leadership in ambiguous situations
- Experience in analyzing application and business domain data requirements
- Strong analytical skills with a proven track record in problem-solving
