Business Analyst - Insurance

Job Summary

Supporting the design and implementation of underwriting and policy administration capabilities for commercial residential property insurance, the full-time Business Analyst - Insurance will collaborate with various teams to translate business requirements into functional system requirements while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Underwriting, Product, Operations, Compliance, and Technology teams to gather and document business requirements
• Translate underwriting guidelines and workflows into functional system requirements for digital insurance platforms
• Support enhancements and configuration of online quote/bind applications and policy administration systems

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
• 3+ years of Business Analyst experience within an insurance carrier or MGA environment
• Direct experience with commercial residential property insurance products
• Strong understanding of underwriting rules, rating logic, and insurance forms
• Experience writing requirements for online insurance applications and policy administration systems
