Business Data Analyst
Job Summary
To support data-driven decision-making, the contract Business Data Analyst will build and maintain reporting tools, analyze business data, and generate insights while working flexibly from home in Chicago, IL.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track data and define KPIs
- Collect, analyze, and report business data to produce monthly client performance reports
- Write queries and data transformation scripts to assist with process improvements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, finance, or a related field; master's degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, warehousing, and reporting
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with BI tools, preferably Microsoft Power BI
- Industry experience in credit card, finance, or insurance sectors
- Strong scripting skills in programming languages related to data analytics, such as SQL and VBA
