Job Summary
To support a growing Corporate Development team, the full-time Business Development Associate will identify and engage prospective targets, manage outreach campaigns, and coordinate early deal conversations while working in a hybrid environment based in Columbia, MO.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain a curated list of target companies aligned with strategic priorities through lead generation and market research
- Execute personalized outreach campaigns to engage founders, executives, and business owners, managing responses in CRM
- Coordinate introductory calls and maintain accurate pipeline records, ensuring a consistent flow of qualified opportunities to senior team members
Required qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in business development, corporate development, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics; relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Hands-on experience managing pipelines and contact records in a CRM platform, preferably HubSpot
- Demonstrated ability to conduct market research and synthesize findings into clear outputs
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to independently own the outreach process with minimal oversight
