Job Summary
To support a growing corporate development team, the full-time Business Development Associate will engage in lead generation, outreach, and pipeline management while working in a hybrid environment based in Columbia, MO.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain a curated list of target companies and conduct market research to identify acquisition and partnership opportunities
- Execute personalized outreach campaigns and manage follow-ups using CRM tools, tracking engagement and response rates
- Coordinate introductory calls, manage the top-of-funnel pipeline, and participate in early deal conversations to assess strategic fit
Required qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in business development, corporate development, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics, or relevant industry experience in lieu of a formal degree
- Hands-on experience managing pipelines and contact records in a CRM platform, with HubSpot preferred
- Demonstrated ability to conduct market research and synthesize findings into clear outputs
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to independently manage the outreach process
