Job Summary

To support the Corporate Development team, the full-time Business Development Associate will identify and engage prospective targets, manage outreach campaigns, and coordinate early deal conversations, working in a hybrid environment from Columbia, MO.

Key responsibilities
  • Build and maintain a curated list of target companies aligned with strategic priorities and conduct market research for acquisition opportunities
  • Execute personalized outreach campaigns to engage founders and business owners, managing follow-ups and tracking in CRM
  • Schedule and prepare materials for introductory calls, maintaining accurate records of deal stages and supporting cross-functional teams during deal processes
Required qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience in business development, corporate development, or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics, or relevant industry experience in lieu of a formal degree
  • Hands-on experience managing pipelines and contact records in a CRM platform, with HubSpot experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct rigorous market research and synthesize findings into clear outputs
  • Self-starter mentality with strong written communication skills for crafting outreach materials
