Job Summary
To support a growing Corporate Development team, the full-time Business Development Associate will manage lead generation, conduct outreach to potential targets, and coordinate early deal conversations while working in a hybrid environment based in Columbia, MO.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain a curated list of target companies aligned with strategic priorities and conduct market research for acquisition opportunities
- Execute personalized outreach campaigns and manage follow-ups in CRM, iterating on strategies based on data and feedback
- Coordinate introductory calls and maintain accurate pipeline records, ensuring a consistent flow of qualified opportunities to senior team members
Required qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in business development, corporate development, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics, or relevant industry experience in lieu of a formal degree
- Hands-on experience managing pipelines and contact records in a CRM platform, preferably HubSpot
- Demonstrated ability to conduct rigorous market research and synthesize findings into clear, concise outputs
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to independently own the outreach process with minimal oversight
