Job Summary
Driving growth for the New Product Development (NPD) Group, the full-time remote Business Development Engineer will manage customer relationships, accelerate product launch timelines, and identify new business opportunities within the medical device industry.
Key responsibilities
- Own the account lifecycle, managing strategic growth, contract negotiations, and partnership health
- Identify and capture new business opportunities, targeting R&D-stage projects and innovative medical device platforms
- Bridge the gap between customer engineering teams and internal NPD resources, providing technical consultation and solution selling
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, Materials Science, or related field)
- 3-7+ years of experience in the medical device industry, particularly in R&D engineering or product development
- Strong understanding of medical device design and the product development lifecycle
- Proven "hunter" mentality with a passion for business growth and relationship building
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills for engaging with technical teams and executives
