Job Summary
To drive sales initiatives for watermelon and melon crops, the remote, full-time Business Development Manager - Cucurbits will develop and execute annual sales plans, build long-term customer relationships, and manage pricing and profitability for strategic accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute annual sales plans for key accounts, including customer plans and sales targets
- Build long-term partnerships with customers by providing value-based proposals and managing retailer connections
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate varietal performance and implement marketing strategies for the crop
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 5-8 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or Project Management
- Well-rounded knowledge of the vegetable seed business
- Advanced consultative selling skills, including negotiation and closing
- Strong agronomic knowledge and project management skills
- Ability to collaborate with global colleagues on portfolio strategy and development
