Business Development Team Member

Job Summary

To support a growing mission-driven team, the full-time remote Strategy and Business Development Team Member will develop engineering and techno-economic models to evaluate energy infrastructure investments and enable strategic business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and advance first-principles techno-economic models for energy infrastructure, ensuring accuracy and relevance
• Evaluate development opportunities by sizing assets and providing quantitative support for investment theses
• Identify and implement improvements to modeling speed, accuracy, and accessibility across the organization

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline
• Demonstrated ability to develop engineering models from first principles through academic or professional experience
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and applied mathematics
• Proficiency in Python or similar technical computing languages (e.g., Julia, MATLAB, R)
• Experience in building structured, well-documented models with clear separation of assumptions and outputs
