Business Intelligence Engineer
Job Summary
Focusing on Power BI development and SQL code, the remote contract Business Intelligence Engineer will support modernization efforts by transitioning existing reporting solutions to updated data sources and platforms, while applying specialized knowledge in Power BI, DAX, and SSRS/Paginated reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement Power BI solutions, including data modeling and report/dashboard design
- Transition existing reports to new data sources, updating queries and validating reporting logic
- Analyze and improve existing reporting logic for accuracy in Power BI and Paginated Reports
Required qualifications
- 5 or more years of hands-on experience developing Power BI solutions
- Advanced experience converting SSRS reports into Power BI or Paginated Reports
- Proficiency in T-SQL for validating data sources and rebuilding queries
- Strong understanding of dataset architecture and model optimization
- Experience working with large and complex datasets
