Business Subject Matter Expert
Job Summary
To support the development of Oregon's new State-Based Marketplace, the full-time temporary Business Subject Matter Expert will review project requirements, create and execute UAT test cases, and collaborate with business and technical teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Review and analyze project requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for clarity and testability
- Create, update, and maintain UAT test cases, scenarios, and test suites while executing manual UAT test cases and documenting results
- Support regression testing and validate defect fixes to ensure system stability and compliance with Marketplace policies
Required qualifications
- Experience in a Health Insurance Exchange (HIX) environment with a strong understanding of Marketplace operations
- Advanced knowledge of UAT methodologies, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum frameworks
- Proficiency in using test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps and JIRA
- Ability to analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test cases
- Experience designing and executing complex test scenarios
