Business Subject Matter Expert
Job Summary
To support the Oregon Health Authority's SB 972 Transition Project, the remote Business Subject Matter Expert will provide user acceptance testing expertise, ensuring the new State Based Marketplace platform meets business needs and compliance standards over a 7-month contract.
Key responsibilities
- Review and analyze project requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for clarity and testability
- Create and maintain UAT test cases, execute testing, and document results, including defect logging and validation outcomes
- Collaborate with technical teams and business partners to design, execute, and validate UAT activities in both agile and traditional environments
Required qualifications
- Strong understanding of UAT methodologies, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum frameworks
- Experience designing and executing complex test scenarios using test management tools
- Proficiency in defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and security testing fundamentals
- Ability to analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test cases
