Business Systems Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, a Business Systems Analyst will analyze user requirements and improve existing systems while facilitating communication between business units and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and translate requirements from business units to programmers and developers
• Prepare cost-benefit analyses to support decisions on system implementation
• Document detailed functional requirements and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) for assigned initiatives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or computer engineering
• Experience serving as a liaison between business and technical teams
• Strong meeting facilitation skills and ability to lead discussions with stakeholders
• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Visual Basic, Java, and SQL
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
