Job Summary

To support the procurement needs of the UnityPoint Health System, the full-time Buyer will manage purchasing of supplies, capital equipment, and services, ensuring smooth order flow, contract compliance, and effective communication with various stakeholders while working remotely within the designated states.

Key responsibilities

• Review and release purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract pricing and vendor information
• Communicate with requesters to educate them on the central procurement process and expedite product delivery
• Utilize data management tools to run reports and manage daily operations related to orders, confirmations, and vendor performance

Required qualifications

• Associate Degree or equivalent experience in procurement; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Knowledge of healthcare procurement and experience with a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO)
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as lookup functions, queries, and pivot tables
• Experience with the Lawson system is preferred
