Buyer for Wood Products

Job Summary

To support procurement efforts, the full-time salaried Buyer for Wood Products will manage purchase orders, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of materials while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders from placement through delivery, ensuring compliance with procurement policies
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to expedite deliveries and resolve supply issues
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with operations to ensure material availability

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or a related field
• 1-3 years of purchasing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior experience in the lumber or millwork industry is strongly preferred
• SAP proficiency at a practicing level
• Knowledge of product and market trends related to wood products
