Job Summary

Joining a remote team as a mid-level C Developer for Linux Kernel, the contractor will work on core Linux kernel subsystems, optimize container isolation mechanisms, and enhance resource usage across virtual environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core Linux kernel subsystems, including memory management and networking
• Optimize container isolation mechanisms and resource usage for large-scale virtual machines
• Collaborate with upstream maintainers to merge patches into the Linux kernel

Required qualifications

• Strong C programming skills with experience in kernel subsystems
• Familiarity with syscalls and kernel/user-space interfaces
• Experience in debugging using tools like kprobes, ftrace, or gdb
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and speaking
• Experience with open-source projects is a plus
