Job Summary

To enhance large-scale virtual environments, the remote contract C Developer for Linux Kernel will work on core Linux kernel subsystems, optimize resource usage, and collaborate with upstream maintainers to merge patches.

Key responsibilities

• Work on core Linux kernel subsystems including memory management, scheduling, networking, and filesystems
• Tweak and tune container isolation mechanisms for optimal performance
• Collaborate with upstream maintainers to merge patches into the kernel

Required qualifications

• Strong C programming skills with experience in kernel subsystems
• Familiarity with syscalls and kernel/user-space interfaces
• Debugging experience using tools like kprobes, ftrace, or gdb
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both in writing and speaking
• Experience with open-source projects is a plus
