CAD Designer - BESS

Job Summary

To support innovative energy projects, the full-time CAD Designer - BESS will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to create detailed electrical engineering designs and drawings for utility-scale battery energy storage systems, working remotely or from one of the firm's office locations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to develop precise electrical engineering designs for BESS projects
• Create detailed 2-D and 3-D designs using AutoCAD Civil 3-D and prepare project-specific drawings
• Participate in project meetings and provide progress reports to stakeholders

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 4+ years of engineering design experience using AutoCAD Civil 3-D or similar software
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and understanding of geographic systems or GIS software
• Knowledge of low to medium voltage electrical power systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical literature, engineering plans, and specification sheets
