CAD Designer for BESS

Job Summary

Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, the full-time CAD Designer for BESS will create precise electrical engineering designs for utility-scale battery energy storage systems, utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3-D software, while working remotely or from various office locations in the U.S. and Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2-D and 3-D designs, including site plans and electrical drawing packages, in accordance with project specifications
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure adherence to industry regulations and RRC standards
• Participate in project meetings and provide progress reports to stakeholders, while maintaining high ethical and professional standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering technology or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 4+ years of engineering design experience using AutoCAD Civil 3-D or similar software
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and understanding of geographic systems or GIS software
• Knowledge of low to medium voltage electrical power systems
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications effectively
