CAD Designer III

Job Summary

Working remotely with minimal in-office requirements, the full-time CAD Designer III will develop designs for complex engineering systems and plant arrangements while ensuring compliance with design standards and industry codes.

Key responsibilities

• Develops designs for complete and complex engineering systems, structures, and plant arrangements with minimum supervision
• Ensures proper dimensioning, completeness of material quantities and specifications, and compliance with regulatory and industry codes
• Reviews and checks calculations, design models, drawings, and design documents for quality and accuracy

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Natural Gas facility design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD P&ID, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Navisworks; 3D experience preferred
• Associate degree in an engineering or scientific discipline or specialized courses in drafting, design, and engineering practices
• Experience in drafting and design of mechanical/piping or civil drawings for natural gas facilities
• Ability to analyze data to supply information for development of recommendations and alternatives
