CAD Designer with Fiber Optic Expertise

Job Summary

To support the design of hybrid fiber-coax and fiber optic networks, the full-time CAD Designer with Fiber Optic Expertise will create detailed engineering drawings, coordinate fiber node placements, and ensure compliance with various regulations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Designs and prepares detailed engineering and design drawing files using CAD or Geographic Information software platforms
• Updates As-Builts and performs base drafting to create accurate network maps and construction prints
• Coordinates project planning and site surveys with various stakeholders to facilitate service design for residential and commercial properties

Required qualifications

• Up to two years of experience in CAD design or related field
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Completion of Systems Technician course
• Completion of NCTI Fiber Testing & Maintenance course and relevant technical training
