CAD Engineer for Parametric Modeling

Job Summary

To support a paid study on engineering design structures, skilled CAD Engineers for Parametric Modeling will work remotely on a contract basis to develop realistic parametric models and document corresponding engineering modification tasks using FreeCAD.

Key responsibilities

• Review technical briefs for parametric modeling assignments
• Design realistic mechanical models from scratch using proper constraints
• Formulate specific engineering modification tasks based on completed models

Required qualifications

• Professional experience in mechanical engineering or industrial design
• Proficiency with parametric CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, Fusion 360, or similar)
• Ability to create and deliver native, editable FreeCAD files
• Strong understanding of mechanical constraints and design history
