Job Summary
To support engineering efforts, the full-time or part-time CAD-GIS Technician will produce Outside Plant (OSP) designs and work order package documents while collaborating with other engineering personnel in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Produce OSP designs and associated documentation in coordination with engineering teams
- Read and interpret utility and telecommunications cable systems and related OSP documents
- Ensure high-quality drawing output and adherence to company directives and practices
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree or certificate in AutoCAD or MicroStation is preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD, GIS software (ArcGIS Pro, QGIS), and other industry-standard applications
- Ability to read and interpret telecom facilities records and maps
- Demonstrated understanding of basic geospatial and database principles
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve geospatial problems
