CAD Manager
Job Summary
Owning and maintaining firmwide CAD standards, the full-time CAD Manager will manage templates, content libraries, and drafting quality for utility-scale solar PV, BESS, and substation projects while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain CAD standards, including layers, blocks, and templates, across AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Lead CAD implementation and training, ensuring consistent drafting workflows and quality across disciplines
- Mentor drafting and design staff, enhancing their skills and ensuring high-quality deliverables
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, drafting and design technology, computer science, or a similar field, plus 7 years of CAD experience, or 10 years of applicable experience in lieu of a degree
- Demonstrated ownership of CAD standards and content libraries across multi-discipline teams
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, including configuration of templates and plot styles
- Experience leading CAD implementation and providing end-user training
- Supervisory or team-lead experience with CAD or drafting staff
