California ABA Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure timely access to ABA therapy services, the full-time California ABA Authorization Specialist will manage the authorization process, collaborating with clinical teams and insurance providers while maintaining compliance with relevant guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Submit, track, and manage initial, concurrent, and reauthorization requests for ABA therapy services
• Monitor authorization status and proactively follow up with insurance providers to ensure timely approvals
• Collaborate with BCBAs and clinical teams to obtain necessary documentation for authorization submissions

Required qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare authorizations or a related healthcare administrative role
• Experience with ABA therapy authorizations strongly preferred
• Knowledge of insurance authorization processes and managed care guidelines
• Proficiency with CentralReach and Google Workspace applications
