Job Summary

To support laboratory operations, the full-time salaried California and Massachusetts Licensed Genetic Counselor will manage client communications regarding genetic testing, provide technical expertise for pregnancy management, and oversee the reporting of specialized genetic tests in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Review incoming samples and clarify physician orders while contacting clients for urgent resolutions
  • Provide technical expertise on managing pregnancies at risk for rare disorders and assist clients in interpreting diagnostic results
  • Manage the sending and reporting of specialized genetic tests, including reviewing specimen requirements and handling client calls
Required qualifications
  • Master's degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling
  • American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification
  • Two or more years of experience as a certified Genetic Counselor post-Masters
  • California and Massachusetts state licenses in Genetic Counseling or ability to obtain prior to start date
