California Assistant Controller

Job Summary

Seeking a proactive full-time California Assistant Controller, the candidate will manage core accounting functions, oversee financial reporting and consolidations, and mentor a global team while working onsite in Cerritos, CA.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage multi-entity financial consolidations and ensure compliance with GAAP during the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Perform journal entries and reconciliations, oversee cash management, and establish robust internal controls to mitigate risk
• Provide mentorship to the India-based accounting team and optimize workflows for seamless operational efficiency across time zones

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a related role
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Proficiency in accounting systems, particularly NetSuite, and Excel
• Experience in healthcare or multi-entity environments is a plus
