California Assistant Controller

Job Summary

Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented California Assistant Controller to oversee core accounting functions in a full-time onsite role in Cerritos, CA, while mentoring a remote team and ensuring the accuracy of multi-entity financial systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage multi-entity financial consolidations and oversee the revenue cycle to ensure accurate revenue recognition
• Perform journal entries and reconciliations, maintain cash flow forecasts, and enforce internal controls
• Lead and mentor the India-based accounting team, optimizing workflows for seamless operations across time zones

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a related role
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting systems, particularly NetSuite, and advanced Excel skills
• Experience in healthcare or multi-entity environments is a plus
