Job Summary
To support the Finance department, the hybrid California Assistant Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, perform bank reconciliations, and assist in the preparation of financial statements while working both remotely and onsite in San Diego, CA.
Key responsibilities
- Compiles and analyzes financial information for general ledger entries and financial reporting
- Prepares monthly bank reconciliations and assists with account analyses and reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts
- Supports the General Ledger Team with ad hoc reports, financial audits, and compliance with accounting principles
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or a related field with a concentration in accounting
- Entry-level experience in the accounting industry preferred
- Experience using X3 and Sage software is required
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced skills in Excel and Word
- Fundamental knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger, and financial statements
