California Chief Compliance Officer

Job Summary

Experienced regulatory professionals will find a full-time salaried opportunity as the California Chief Compliance Officer, responsible for establishing and implementing a comprehensive regulatory affairs and compliance program, overseeing legal matters, and managing compliance initiatives both onsite and remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the development and implementation of the health plan's Compliance Program and Anti-Fraud Plan
• Manage relationships with outside counsel and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
• Conduct investigations into compliance violations and oversee the preparation for annual external audits

Required qualifications

• At least eight years of healthcare regulatory experience, including Medi-Cal and/or Medicare managed care program requirements
• Six years of experience as a Compliance Manager in a California health plan
• At least five years of supervisory experience
• Certificate of Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and Certified HealthCare Privacy Compliance (CHPC)
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state privacy laws and health plan operations related to compliance
