Job Summary

California Collection Specialist is a full-time position responsible for collecting commercial, government, and patient balances by following established revenue cycle processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor outstanding account balances and determine next steps in the collection process
• Follow up on claims and claim denials to ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided
• Respond to inquiries from patients and payors, providing clear communication on collection issues

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Computer proficiency and experience in windows-based technologies
• Prior work experience in a medical office setting preferred
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information discreetly
• Must be able to work as part of a team with peers and leadership
