California CPA Technical Accounting Consultant

Job Summary

Providing expert accounting guidance for complex transactions, the full-time California CPA Technical Accounting Consultant will work remotely to evaluate accounting implications, develop policies, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Research and document accounting conclusions for complex transactions in line with U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS
• Evaluate contracts and business arrangements to determine appropriate accounting treatments, including revenue recognition and leases
• Prepare technical accounting memoranda and support quarterly and annual financial reporting by addressing technical matters

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred
• 8+ years of experience in technical accounting, public accounting, or financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP; IFRS knowledge is a plus
• Experience researching and applying accounting guidance to complex business transactions
