California Eligibility Authorization Representative

Job Summary

To support the financial clearance process, the full-time California Eligibility Authorization Representative will perform tasks related to requesting and obtaining authorizations, while serving as a liaison between patients, the hospital, and third-party payers, with a remote work arrangement that may require occasional on-site attendance.

Key responsibilities

• Request and obtain authorizations while maintaining accurate documentation of progress on tasks
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and third-party payers, addressing inquiries and arranging payments
• Answer and screen incoming calls, providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office or hospital setting performing financial clearance processes
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Experience in verifying health insurance and requesting authorizations preferred
• Prior experience in a call center environment is advantageous
• CCS experience is a plus
