California Eligibility Authorization Representative

Job Summary

Serving as a primary liaison between patients, the full-time California Eligibility Authorization Representative will manage the authorization process, maintain documentation, and provide customer service while working remotely with occasional on-site attendance required.

Key responsibilities

• Request and obtain authorizations while organizing and updating worklists
• Act as the main point of contact for patients, CHLA, and third-party payers to address inquiries and facilitate payment arrangements
• Answer and screen incoming calls, ensuring excellent customer service is provided

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office or hospital setting performing financial clearance processes
• High School diploma or equivalent required
